TOGETHER {5 Minute Friday}

To my precious readers… Today,  I linked with precious, beautiful others at The Gypsy Mama , who prompts writers with a word. Today it is TOGETHER. Then we have just 5 minutes to let the words flow, unhindered, from our hearts. Here is my 5 minutes worth.

We are walking down this bumpy, winding road.

Sometimes we do not know where we are going, but we journey — together.

Sometimes I stumble and you lift me up, dust me off and on our way we go — together.

Sometimes you fall under the weight of the burden you bear, and I wonder how you carried it so long. I know somehow, we will make it — together.

I know I cannot carry you, but I lift you up to the One Who can and we keep walking –together.

We have been hurt and wounded deep along the way, sometimes each one different and sometimes the same — together.

We were young, ever so young, when we first met, and I am amazed at how far we have come. There is no doubt in knowing the One who put us together, takes joy in helping us become as onetogether.

Sometimes we do not know where this road will lead us, the path before us not as bright and clear as we’d hoped, but when we cannot see — we wander together, wonder together, gaze together, continue our walk together, looking toward the One Who holds us and ALL things. I am grateful for every moment we are and will be — together.

Stopping by from Gypsy Mama…this post was beautifully written and so very true. There are alot of ups and downs on the journey of life but when you have someone to share it with (and share it with the One!) the Lord will give you strength to travel along, together. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to following along in reading your blog! =)

Girl this paragraph –We were young, ever so young, when we first met, and I am amazed at how far we have come. There is no doubt in knowing the One who put us together, takes joy in helping us become as one — together.–stops my heart today.

So thankful for the togetherness along the journey as we grow older and waiver life’s journey together. Beautiful words and truths here today.

You are ALWAYS such an encouragement to me and to many others. Keep writing – loving your words from the heart.

    • http://www.alifesurrendered.com Michele-Lyn

      Alene,

Ah… if I could tell you and truly convey what the words “keep writing” do for this heart, I would. You encourage and strengthen me in this. I am thankful for you and this community that is so filled with God’s love and so willing to pour.. even when we were like strangers. Thank you.

      With love,

      Michele-Lyn

“I know I cannot carry you, but I lift you up to the One Who can.”

Oh, I love this! How true it is! We can lift our husbands in prayer to Him who can carry they world in His hand. It’s so important to remember our husbands in prayer. And it’s something that can easily be overlooked in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thank you for this beautiful reminder ~ a call to prayer. I am so thankful for this life we get to share together.

    Beautiful post, my friend.

    • http://www.alifesurrendered.com Michele-Lyn

      Denise,

Thank you… I need reminding to pray, too. They need our prayers, like we need theirs. I often get too consumed with the stay-at-home-mom bit and forget the importance of my union with my husband… likened to neglecting my union with my Lord, and sitting at His feet like Mary.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing such lovely, beautiful thoughts with me.

Blessings to you, as you walk in His grace, shining bright His light.

One flesh knitted together . . beautiful. I love that road. What a tender, life-giving promise you remind us of here. The Father made us for community, to not walk this journey alone. . . Love the darling photo of you and your husband. So sweet.

    • http://www.alifesurrendered.com Michele-Lyn

      Jennifer,

Ah… I love that road… although it has been challenging at times, becoming one… it is the most powerful, beautiful union, next to ours with God. No wonder the devil fights it so. And yes, community, connecting, God-breathed relationships — all an amazing blessing I spent too many years missing out on. Not any more!

Thank you beautiful friend… with love,

      Michele-Lyn

Oh, beautiful 5 minute write, friend. I was nodding in agreement the whole time…
what a blessing it is to share this journey with one who will keep striving alongside you.
    Hugs to you!

      Nikki,

Thank you. It seems we had the same thoughts in mind for our “Together”. God is faithful to us… I am not sure where I would be without the support and love of my husband :)

      Blessings, friend.
