I am very glad to be joining Lisa Jo and this gracious, precious community of bloggers who bare open their souls to share raw and true what pours from their hearts through their fingers, writing for just 5 minutes, after reading the word prompt. Today the word is CONNECT.
I’ve sat long on hard wood seats, and stood long on hard wood floors.
Fingers tapping and eyes staring
at the backlit screen –
CONNECTING.
It’s beautiful.
But lately, as I’ve found bits of quiet throughout my day — God’s whisper has been heard.
He’s drawing me close again — closer.
He reminds me what’s most important.
Be true. Be real. Be careful.
Guard your heart with all diligence.
The depth of your connecting online, is only as deep as your connection offline.
Connect with those here that follow you with clanking princess shoes, asking for one more hug.
Connect with those here that like when you make them pancakes, help with horses and linger long at bedtime.
And, it’s about that time to disconnect online, so you can truly reconnect to Me, the Vine.
I’ve got some things to share.
I will be taking a blogging break next week, beginning Sunday. It’s time to refocus and renew. To lean in close and remember this is all for Him. To be brought low, and exalt His name. Yes, I need to do this. I will be hosting a guest post from a personal friend of mine. I know you will enjoy her writing. I love her heart for the Lord and her family. Make sure you leave her lots of love here.

At A Life Surrendered, I hope to bring encouragement when I share my stories — both trials and triumphs — of living out my days as a wife and homeschooling mama of 4, in pursuit of God.
