A New Creation… [Dream Again Day 5]

“You are being invited into a life of wholeness and completeness. That’s what the biblical word perfect means. It’s not a standard of faultless accuracy and precision but rather an invitation to devote the whole of yourself—your time and your talents—toward the completion of the tasks He’s appointed.” — Priscilla Shirer, The Resolution for Women

So true. If I didn’t believe in Christ, life would have ended for me long ago, physically and mentally for certain, sure. But HE broke in, HE created and re-created, and now I AM a creator… writing, sharing, caring. A whole new world than would have been possible. You made me grin. Thanks.

It’s always an honor to have you visit. 🙂 Whenever I see your face, I hear Jennifer Lee’s voice, or the one I made up for her saying, “She’s the real deal!” Meaning, you, of course. 🙂

      Blessings to you!

    Hi Michele-Lyn
I have found in my life that only as I stay in our Lord Jesus, allowing Him to live His life in and through me, can He shine His perfect light through me to the world!
Nice meeting you at Barbie’s, dear one!
    Much love

Yes, and Amen! What truth. 🙂

Oh, yes! I try to read this word this way when I come upon it in scripture. I wish we had a better English word to translate it. Maybe that lack shows a cultural widespread lack in our understanding of completeness in Him instead of perfectionism in ourselves. A good word here about a misunderstood word! Thanks!

You are so right! I loved the way the author shined light on this truth. His perfecting us really means maturing us, and that is a process that will take a lifetime. 🙂 I am so glad you commented! Thank you 🙂
