These books have topics too broad or
too narrow for a category of their own,
but deserve a place here.
The Resolution for Women by Priscilla Shirer This is like an all purpose book on how to live for God as a woman. It is full of encouragement and wisdom and liberating truth, no matter where you are in your journey called life.
Secrets of the Vine by Bruce Wilkinson Stay connected to the Vine. This book still encourages me through my weary days — the only way to remain fruitful in my efforts is if I stay connected to the Vine, Jesus.
Hinds’ Feet On High Places by Hannah Hurnard This is an allegory, much like a women’s version of Pilgrims Progress. It is a story of Much Afraid, and her two companions, Sorrow and Suffering. A difficult journey ends at the top of a mountain, and a meeting of the Lord. My favorite quote from the book is, “We are to offer love without the promise of love in return.”
This book has a story with it, that I hope to share with you soon. You can visit the author Noel Yeatts page to learn more about it.
