A Life Surrendered to the One Who Gave His Life for Me

Hi friend, I’m Michele-Lyn. I am a wife to a wonderful man who loves me unconditionally, as Christ loves. I have been married 15 years, December of 2012. I am also a homeschooling mama of four beautiful children — three spunky, confident beautiful girls, and one tender-hearted handsome son, ranging from 3 years to 18 years. I would not trade for anything the HAPPY CHAOS we make as a family — together.

Before I was 16 years old, I lived a godless life. When I was 16 and pregnant, Jesus found me — hurt, lost and wandering. He reached out in love I never knew, rescued me from darkness, and saved my soul. Since then, I have belonged to Him, and willingly live — A Life Surrendered. Jesus is still my everything.

How could I contend with the One Who saved me?

How could I wrestle with the Guardian and Lover of my soul?

A Life Surrendered is living for a purpose greater than my own.

“An ongoing narrative of a wife and mama,
whose life’s Author is her God.”

I’m more of a mess than I care to admit, but I will. As I share my stories, I hope you find you are not alone, and that God wants to meet us where we are.  How I met Him, walking out my days — trials and triumphs by His GRACE; the stories of how I navigate my way through this life in pursuit of God, living to love better, desiring to bring encouragement and hope, especially to weary mamas is what A Life Surrendered is all about. I love sharing my passions and the truths I hold tightly to, in the fight for the family — a most holy and powerful unit the devil seeks to destroy.

You’ll find me writing about motherhood, missions and beautiful messes.

My favorite stories to write are the real-life ones filled with beautiful, grace-filled messy moments.

My Story Part 1
may be a good place to start.

Then, On Days Like These…

And, Mamas can dream…

You’ll also find me writing at Allume blog, blogging for World Help, and a few more places – soon to be announced.

    Michelle-Lyn,
What a lovely website! I’m especially touched by “words that convince me to click the publish button.” I’ve never read that verse in The Message. Sometimes that button is so hard to push…the self-revelation, the feeling that you are sending something precious into a black hole, etc. I’m writing this verse and putting it up!
    Thanks,
    Summer

      Summer,

Those words in the message Bible literally transformed my heart over 3 years ago. I have never been the same…”Keep open house” went against every fiber of my being :) But since I have practiced living this verse, I am convinced I never want to go back to hiding :)

I just believe God will take the words to who needs them… and I believe that with you! It says He is the One that puts us up to shine :)

Blessings to you and thank you for visiting me here,

      Michele-Lyn
