Sometimes, it’s the mundane that makes us weary. I know.
It’s not that your guilty of not loving your kids. No one could ever accuse you of that. It’s just sometimes, it’s all the other seemingly meaningless, ordinary, and incessant todos that deplete our strength.
I was having one of those days only a couple of weeks ago… I cried out to God, partly frustrated, and partly wanting His agreement that I need to hire a housekeeper. “I’m so tired. Is there another way? Surely, you must think this is a waste of my time and energy, too!”
Overwhelmed and with tears, before I could get the breath to finish praying, His words came flowing like a river of living water, a fountain that pours life. It was like He was waiting for me to ask.

“I see you. I see you toil and work and sacrifice and give. And what it is you don’t realize is I rejoice over what you do. You think that this is a lesser work.
