Proverbs 14:12 Straight Before Me…

I am pondering this verse today…

“There is a way which seems right to a man

and appears straight before him,

but at the end of it is the way of death.”

Not because I feel that I am going the wrong way — but I desperately do NOT want to go the wrong way. I am alert and my spirit is awake. I am moving forward, but I do not want to move forward outside of God’s will. I want to hold loosely to my own ideas and reasoning and grab a tenacious hold the TRUTH and LEADING of God’s word.

I heed these words found in Proverb 3:5-6 …

 

As I trust God from the bottom of my heart;

and don’t try to figure out everything on my own.

As I listen for God’s voice in everything I do, everywhere I go;

He’s the one who will keep me on track.

I don’t assume that I know it all.

I RUN to God!

While being inundated with the myriad of voices and torrent of advice that vie for my attention and my follow, I must guard my heart with all diligence and I must remember this…

 

He will make my paths smooth

and straight before me.

If I seek His will in all I do,

He will show me which path to take.
