Prayers Paul Prayed [Dream Again Day 13]

Powerful are the prayers Paul prayed.

As I am reading and re-reading these words and the prayer that Paul prayed, I am praying this for you and for me. Oh, what a wonder it would be to see all of this promise a reality in our life. I ask God, “What will it take? What will it take for me to believe this wholeheartedly? Lord, help my unbelief. Help me to dream as big as you dream for me.”

Ephesians 1:16-19

“I couldn’t stop thanking God for you—every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!” (The Message)

“I have not stopped thanking God for you. I always remember you in my prayers. I pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is the glorious Father. I keep asking him to give you the wisdom and understanding that come from the Holy Spirit. I want you to know God better. I also pray that your mind might see more clearly. Then you will know the hope God has chosen you to receive. You will know that the things God’s people will receive are rich and glorious. And you will know his great power. It can’t be compared with anything else. It is at work for us who believe.” (New International Reader’s Version)

“I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him.” (New Living Translation)

“I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers. For I always pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation of insight into mysteries and secrets in the deep and intimate knowledge of Him, By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints His set-apart ones, And so that you can know and understand what is the immeasurable and unlimited andsurpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe…” (The Amplified Bible)
